Taylor Rosty for Natrona County School Board
Responsible. Pragmatic. Here for the kids.
Why I’m Running
I’m running for Natrona County School Board first and foremost because I’m a parent. I have a four-year-old son and a four-year-old foster daughter entering kindergarten in the District in the fall, and I want to make sure they have the same incredible education I had as a NCSD student. I believe if you want your community to be great, you can’t wait for someone else to do the work. So I’m here to roll up my sleeves and get things done.
I’m also running because I believe that public education impacts more than just teachers, staff, students, and parents; public education is the backbone of a strong community. I believe that if you look at how a community invests (or doesn’t invest) in public education, it will tell you a lot about what that community values and what kind of future it wants. I want a bright future for Natrona County, and I believe that when we invest in our young learners, it pays dividends in the future — not just for them, but for our entire community.
About Taylor
Taylor was born and raised in Casper, where she attended University Park Elementary, Dean Morgan Junior High, and proudly graduated as valedictorian from NCHS. After high school, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She credits her exceptional NCSD education not only for preparing her to succeed at an Ivy League university, but for introducing her to her husband — an NCHS grad as well. After living in Colorado for five years, Taylor and her husband returned to Casper in 2023 because she wanted her young son to receive an education through Natrona County public schools. In addition to being a small business owner, Taylor is an active member of the community, having served on several nonprofit boards. She and her husband are also proud foster parents. Taylor believes that a strong public education system is essential in ensuring that all of our community’s children have an opportunity to thrive. Taylor and her husband, an attorney, have one son and a foster daughter who will both attend Natrona County schools as kindergarteners in the fall.
